Bovine Ephemeral Fever (Adjuvanted) Inactivated Vaccine
Bovine Ephemeral Fever (Adjuvanted) Inactivated Vaccine
This product is an inactivated vaccine manufactured by propagating attenuated bovine ephemeral fever virus, strain YHL-KB, in cell culture, which is adjuvanted with aluminum phosphate gel after inactivation using formalin.
A precipitate may form when left to stand, but the product changes to an opaque suspension with red-pink milky white in color after shaking. The pH of the vaccine is 7.2–7.6.
Prevention of bovine ephemeral fever
Inject two doses (each dose: 3 mL) of the vaccine intramuscularly in cattle with 4 weeks between these doses. For cattle previously injected with live bovine ephemeral fever vaccine (strain YHL), inject a single dose (3 mL) of this product intramuscularly, 4 weeks after the previous administration.
